Eddie Vedder shares cover of R.E.M.'s "Drive"

Eddie Vedder contributed 10 songs to the 'Flag Day' soundtrack, including a cover of R.E.M.'s "Drive."

His daughter Olivia Vedder also recorded her first song for the project, aptly titled "My Father's Daughter," which was written by Eddie and Glen Hansard.

“After this flood of gorgeous songs from Cat Power, Glen Hansard, and Eddie Vedder, we were just about to do a final mix on the film when Ed sent me Olivia singing ‘My Father’s Daughter,’" Penn explained in a statement. "It became just the perfect cherry on top of the sundae.”

Flag Day stars Penn and his son, Dylan Penn, as well as Josh Brolin, Norbert Leo Butz, Dale Dickey, Eddie Marsan, Bailey Noble, Hopper Jack Penn, and Katheryn Winnick. The film and soundtrack are both came out on August 20.

This isn't the first time Eddie and Sean have teamed up. He also contributed to the soundtrack for the actor/director's 2007 movie Into The Wild, which inspired his solo debut album of the same name and won him a Golden Globe for Best Song Motion Picture.
