Meg Myers transformed the lyrics to her song "The Underground" into a fantastical animated world where dark and light nymph versions of herself push and pull.

“‘The Underground’ was inspired at a Dark time in my life,” Myers divulged in a statement about the song. “It considers the consequences of our free will. Our light and dark aspects fight for control of our decisions and lead us to positive or negative realities. It’s [sic] ultimate message is ‘it’s all a Choice!’”

On International Women's Day (March 8), the singer-songwriter shared a lengthy message with fans about her spiritual awakening. "I personally have been going through my Dark night of the soul for a couple years now," she explained. "It has been exciting yet challenging to say the least. I went from being in a deep slumber my whole life to suddenly being jolted into entirely new realities with new perceptions and ways of being."

"The Underground" is featured on Myers' Thank U 4 Taking Me To 2 The Disco EP — one of two she released last year.
