Fifteen years ago, Audioslave made history by becoming the first U.S. rock band to ever play in Cuba, and to commemorate the anniversary Tom Morello reminisced about the band's time in the country by sharing highlights and a photo of his late bandmate Chris Cornell at John Lennon Park on Instagram.

"15 years ago today #Audioslave played in Havana, Cuba becoming the FIRST U.S. ROCK BAND IN HISTORY TO EVER PLAY IN THAT COUNTRY," Morello wrote alongside the photo. "Highlights of the trip included jamming late at night with locals by the sea along the Malecon, visiting a former elitist country club which had been transformed into a free school for jazz musicians, and of course playing a free gig for 70,000 people at the Plaza Anti-Imperialista. Here is Chris in Havana chilling at John Lennon Park the day before the show."

Morello has been keeping us quite entertained during lockdown. Earlier this week, he showed off his inner nerd by sharing a hilarious photo for Star Wars Day. Last month, he reminisced about the first time he saw Led Zeppelin live, 43 years ago, and when the coronavirus outbreak began he reminded us about safety measures while using a pretty genius Wu-Tang acronym.
