Has any musician had a busier quarantine than Travis Barker? The percussionist/producer has done everything from cover Nirvana songs with Post Malone and Rage Against The Machine with Machine Gun Kelly to recording insomnia-fueled drum performances, and apparently on top of all that he's been working on an EP with blink-182.

During a recent interview with MTV, Barker said he hopes the new album will “be out by the end of summer.” He also gave an update about blink's new song "Quarantine" that he first teased a couple months ago, saying it's "gonna come out really, really soon.”

“It’ll be a blink favorite," he gushed about the track the band wrote, well, in quarantine. "It’ll be like all our fan favorites. It’s incredible.”

The announcement comes after producer John Feldmann revealed the band is "getting in touch with their roots" while writing new music. "The songs we have been working on have been super classic blink and I can’t be more excited," he recently told Rock Sound. "With Nine the band wanted to experiment with a bunch of different sounds and programming and push the envelope forwards. They didn’t just want to remake California, which I totally understand as artists not wanting to just redo an album that was so successful for them."
