The Baylor University Golden Wave Band paid a timely tribute to the Foo Fighters Saturday, hours before the rock band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The performance included a brassy medley of Foo Fighters classics "Monkey Wrench," "Holding Poison" and "The Pretender" by the 300-member Golden Wave Band.

"This weekend, we debuted our halftime show celebrating 25 years of the Foo Fighters and their recent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!" the marching band wrote when sharing photos of the routine via social media.

The tribute took place during halftime of the Baylor Bears' home football game versus the Texas Longhorns — a game which Baylor ultimately won after claiming the lead in the fourth quarter.

Foo Fighters thanked Baylor by sharing photos and a link to the tribute via their own social accounts.

Foo Fighters headlined the 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class Saturday at the 36th annual induction ceremony. The band was inducted by Paul McCartney, who made a point to compare the Foos to The Beatles and Dave Grohl's career to his own.

The honor put Grohl in an exclusive subset of Rock Hall inductees, including McCartney, who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame multiple times.
