Florence + The Machine have covered Fleetwood Mac as part of a recent live session.

The Florence Welch-led group released their fourth album ‘High As Hope‘ last month (June 29). In a three-star review, NME said: “More organic and natural, this is Florence laid bare. Free of too many bells, whistles and a contrived sense of scale, she’s free to be herself more so than ever before.”

Now, the band have performed a stripped-back cover of the American titans’ ‘Silver Springs’ for The Spectrum at SiriusXM Studios. Welch is backed only by piano, acoustic guitar and tambourine on the track, which you can listen to below.

Meanwhile, Florence + The Machine debuted new album track ‘South London Forever’ at a last minute, intimate pub gig last week (July 4).

Fans were granted entry to the tiny gig at Camberwell’s Joiners Arms on a first-come, first-served basis after the show was announced just hours before doors. The band played a six-song set at the show, including fellow ‘High As Hope’ tracks ‘Sky Full Of Song’ and ‘Hunger’.

Recently, Welch recalled seeing Adele perform for the first time. The two shared a bill at London’s Lock Tavern in the early days of their careers. Welch said: “I remember watching Adele play and I’d never head a voice like that. I remember being like, ‘Shit. This is incredible. Gimme a drink.'”
